Paintings
The animals in my paintings are not mere figures, but presences that breathe emotion and memory. In them I place human gestures, sensitivities that the face sometimes cannot express.
They carry tenderness, the unspoken part of the soul. They speak a language that needs no words, where every gaze is a silent confession.
They often appear almost hidden, as if emerging from the boundary between the visible and the dreamed.
That subtlety is intentional: what is not fully revealed retains its power. The eyes that rise from the shadow invite us to see differently, to perceive the invisible, to recognize in them a reflection of our own vulnerability.
I paint animals because in their silence I find an essential truth. They are the bridge between the human and the natural, the purest form of empathy, the voice of the soul, perhaps when it can no longer speak with words.
Owls inhabit my work as guardians of mystery. I have always been fascinated by their silent presence, their ability to see in darkness and remain still amidst the noise of the world. In them I find an ancient wisdom, a kind of knowledge that doesn’t come from books, but from patient observation and inner silence.
Their eyes, as intense as time itself, seem to hold the memory of the invisible. Through their gaze I glimpse the hidden, what endures beyond appearances.
The owl reminds me that intuition, too, is a form of light, and that what is essential does not always reveal itself under the sun.
That is why they return again and again to my canvases. Not as mere animals, but as symbols of the observing soul, of art that seeks what is deep and eternal within the transient.
